Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Didn’t Like Working Together

By: Kimberly Ripley - March 21, 2014

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis starred opposite one another on the hot TV show That 70s Show–but they apparently didn’t enjoy working together. This may come as a surprise to those who have witnessed just how happily in love the Two and a Half Men star is with his beautiful fiancee.

Sources say there was “no love lost” between the two who costarred together from 1998 to 2006. Their former colleagues can’t believe the two are going to get married.

“Everyone shakes their head over the romance. Ashton and Mila were absolutely not friends during much of the making of That ’70s Show. In fact, they couldn’t stand working together. The two were never close on the set. Quite the opposite!” one of the sources says.

Their mild disdain didn’t translate to the small screen at least.

It seems Mila Kunis reached out to Ashton Kutcher following his very public split from Demi Moore.

“Mila was the one who came forward to bury the hatchet. She could see Ashton was going through a tough time and reached out to him. They built a solid friendship, which was a new thing for both of them.”

One thing very clearly led to another and culminated with Ashton Kutcher asking Mila Kunis’s dad for her hand in marriage before officially proposing to her.

“He talked with Mila’s dad around Christmas time,” a source said. “He asked for Mark’s blessing to marry her. It was important to Ashton to be respectful and traditional. This is the real thing for him and he wants to do it all right.”

Stranger things have certainly happened. Some of the very best friends started out as enemies–and while it certainly doesn’t sound like that was actually the case between these two, they definitely didn’t start out thinking that one day they would tie the knot.

Did you know about Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis’s early days? Are you surprised to learn they didn’t like working together on That 70s Show?

I hope they proved to be as great for each other, as I think they will. I mean I’m a little biased because I’ve had a TV-boner from Mila ever since she was ‘Jackie’ to his ‘Michael Kelso’ and then she’s gone on to do so many great things since then. And I like Ashton in 2.5 Men and I can understand all the haters he seems to have. Jealousy I guess, but I know how that is because I’m envious of what he gets to do to her! That’s one sex tape I would pay for that got leaked.

i’m going to dispute this claim, because there was a time, when she was still dating Macaulay and it was before he even met Demi that they were exchanging very friendly posts over MySpace… in fact, i managed to get in between them on his comments thread, and i sat there grinning at the fact that i was watching “Kelso and Jackie” flirting together right before my eyes… i can’t remember the exact year, but it was probably somewhere around 2005-ish… so the part about them not being friendly until she reached out when he was having problems with Demi is inaccurate… i’ve also seen interviews of the two of them where they say how much the entire cast enjoyed going to work every day because they all got along very well… i wouldn’t trust whatever source you got this misinformation from, because the day i witnessed them chatting with each other, i could feel the love all the way through the computer screen… it was adorable!
