Ashley Judd put her marital problems aside and rushed to her ex-husband, Dario Franchitti’s, side after hearing about the Houston Grand Prix Crash that injured Franchitti, 13 spectators, and a race official.

Judd kept the fans updated via Twitter while she made her way to the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center to check on her estranged husband.

Franchitti also took to Twitter to thank his fans for their love and support.

Representatives from IndyCar shared their condolences with all those who were affected by the wreck on Sunday.

“Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by yesterday’s accident,” the organization said. “Thank you to the people of Houston for their support of the Grand Prix and their concern for Dario Franchitti, the fans and race personnel. IndyCar is thoroughly reviewing the incident. Reducing the risks that are associated with racing is one of our highest priorities and receives our constant and on-going focus.”

Judd and Franchitti’ announced their decision to separate earlier this year. “We have mutually decided to end our marriage,” the couple said. “We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”

Only journalists would take license to refer to someone as an ex husband despite the fact that neither party had even filed for divorce!

I agree. Media and journalist MAY have license to publish about an actress accomplishments and a race drivers success. But NO ONE should speculate or get involved in private lives of individuals whether famous or not (IT IS THEIR right to privacy like anyone else). Let THEM determine their feelings and future.
