AOL Acquires Personal Profile Site

AOL announced that it’s acquiring, described as a "social identity site" that allows users to create personal profile pages.

With these profiles users can display their Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn profiles, as well as their email address, blog links, etc.

This is just the latest in a string of acquisitions by AOL including: StudioNow, 5min Media, TechCrunch, Thing Labs and most recently, Pictela.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
