I have used both the iPad and the ASUS Transformer, and currently have the Transformer.

I think that there are plenty of great Android devices in many price/feature points (full sized USB? SD/MMC card? Waterproof?) etc, but the iPad has been limited to just the one model. It’s very ‘Model T’.

Going from 99% market share to 57.6% is pretty huge. Lets see if the iPad 3 changes that any.

every market has to have a market leader… I think Apples leadership provides for google’s differentiation… while at the same time it keeps andriod honest enough to create a solid product… android gets to segment, fill niches, it allows the little guy to have a chance apple may be launching products but google is quietly fueling the industry for everyone else, and getting masses of people working with it’s code as it goes from phones to toaster ovens… the $50 tablet for india’s school children is an example…
