Adams won a Golden Globe for her role in “American Hustle,” and McConaughey also won one for his role in “Dallas Buyers Club,” and both actors were nominated for an Oscar.

So if you’re a fan of either two actors, you might want to tune in to a couple of up and coming episodes of “Inside the Actors Studio,” as both of them will be on next month. Adams will be on the show Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. EST time, and McConaughey’s episode will air one day after, on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m. as well. “Inside the Actors Studio” appears on the cable network A&E.

James Lipton, the show’s host, said he loves interviewing actors during award season, because it’s a good chance to talk to a nominee and potential winner. “The period leading up to the Oscars is always our busiest time of the year,” said Lipton. “Possibly because so many of our guests have wound up holding the treasured trophy.”

Although both actors have very impressive resumes for their highly regarded movies, it seems McConaughey’s career is on a different trajectory altogether, since he’s been taking on more serious roles and playing in bigger films. He was also in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” where he received a considerable amount of praise from critics and fellow actors alike.

In his interview with Lipton, McConaughey said he’s taking on more serious roles because his acting life didn’t seem to match his real life, so he wanted to challenge himself more. “I thought to myself, ‘My career is going well, I’m enjoying it,'” he said. “‘But my real life, the adventures and the excitement and the vitality of my real life, was just so much more.'”
