By: Alexandria Sardam - December 12, 2013

American Horror Story is in it’s third season, scaring audiences with it’s delightfully creepy take on witchcraft and voodoo in The Coven. With lead witch, Jessica Lange terrorizing every week, it’s no surprise the 64-year-old actress received her second nomination for her work in the show.

But this year, it’s an even bigger honor for Lange since she went from being nominated for Best Supporting Actress (in which she won) to a nomination for Best Actress in a Miniseries or TV Movie.

Who is Lange competing against this year? It looks like she’ll be up against Helena Bonham Cater, Burton & Taylor, Rebecca Ferguson, The White Queen, Helen Mirren, Phil Spector and lastly, Elisabeth Moss, Top of the Lake.

Along with the Best Actress nomination, The Coven was nominated for Best TV Movie or Miniseries along. The competition for the award falls between Behind the Candelabra, Dancing on the Edge, Top of the Lake and The White Queen.

Lange won for Best Support Actress in which she played the role of wicked nun, Sister Jude.
