The Baywatch reboot is testing a handful of actresses for the female lead, and that includes Percy Jackson and True Detective star Alexandra Daddario.

Deadline reports that Daddario is on the short list, alongside Ashley Benson (Pretty Little Liars), Nina Dobrev (Vampire Diaries), Alexandra Shipp (Straight Outta Compton), Shelley Hennig (Teen Wolf), Bianca Santos (The Duff), and Denyse Tontz (Big Time Rush).

We already know the male leads for the big-screen adaptation of the popular TV show – Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron.

Seth Gordon of Horrible Bosses fame will direct.

The film will reportedly focus on "a by-the-book and very serious lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a young rule-flouting hothead (Efron) in order to save their beach from environmental destruction at the hands of an oil tycoon.”

If Daddario does in fact land the role, it won't be the first time she'll get in front of the camera alongside The Rock. Daddario and Dwayne Johnson both starred in the 2015 disaster film San Andreas.

#regram @therock so excited to be a part of this film #SanAndreas
