  • Not only has 40-year old Aishwarya Rai, also known as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, established herself as a leading actress in Bollywood and Indian film, the 1994 winner of Miss India World also does her own stunts.

Rai last appeared in Sanjay Gupta’s film Guzaarish in 2010, in which she played a nurse caring for a quadriplegic with whom she falls in love. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Filmfare Awards.

Now, after four years of maternity leave from her acting career, Rai is in the process of making Gupta’s new film, Jazzba. However, despite her comeback, this has not seemed to keep her critics at bay.

Like many women do after giving birth, Rai gained a bit of weight. At the 65th Cannes Film Festival in 2012, the public was not satisfied with the speed at which she losing weight, comparing her to others in Bollywood and Hollywood who got in shape faster than Rai. Since then, fans and critics have both continued to talk about it.

Finally Gupta, who was tired of the talk, took to Twitter to silence the chatter.

The photo was taken on Saturday when Rai arrived in Jaipur with her daughter to attend the Kabaddi match of her husband Abhishek Bachchan’s team Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Rai has been married to to fellow actor Bachchan since April 20, 2007. They first met while filming Dhoom 2. Their relationship is often described as being more famous than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, or Brangelina.

Immediately following the completion of Jazzba, Gupta will also be directing Rai’s husband in the film Khottey Sikkay.

Jazzba will be showcased at the Cannes film festival in 2015.
