Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler is suing a pair of bloggers who impersonated him online and wrote about "intimate details" of his life including his mother’s death.

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angles and Tyler, 60, said he did not know the real identities of those who impersonated him and girlfriend Erin Brady on the Internet, but thinks they are the same people who wrote similar postings in 2007.

According  to the suit Tyler discovered original blog posting in November 2007 and requested that Google remove the blogs because they were "offensive and misleading." Google complied with Tyler’s request but similar blogs have reappeared on blogspot.com.

"The impersonated statements relating to (Tyler’s) mother are perhaps most hurtful given that she recently passed away," the lawsuit stated. "Defendants package and publish this personal information about (Tyler) in a way that expressly and fraudulently represents to the public that the statements in the blog are being made by (Tyler)."

One of the blogs had 31 entries for 2008 and another one had seven entries over the last three months.

The lawsuit seeks an injunction against the blogger to have them stop impersonating him online or anywhere else. The blogs in question are not available for public viewing because of possible violation of terms of service.
