According to TMZ, American rapper, A$AP Rocky is facing a misdemeanor assault charge after allegedly slapping a female fan. The alleged assault happened this past weekend at the rappers, "Made in America" concert in Philadelphia.
Apparently, the person that filed the charge is a young mom who was attending the concert. According to the TMZ report, the young woman was in the crowd that the rapper was walking through. The crowd of fans were dancing while tugging on the rapper's shirt when he apparently turned around and struck the woman with a, "open-hand slap."
The young mom filed the complaint against Rocky today. She said that she's suffering an injury from the assault claiming she in fact received whiplash.
The District Attorney's office reviewed the case and decided to file a simple assault charge against the Harlem raised rapper.
But what's really interesting is that this may not be the first time Rocky's acted this way towards his female fans. In a video that was posted on Youtube nearly two months ago, it shows him open-hand slapping a woman across the face after she continuously hit him on the head at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney, Australia. While we don't know what exactly went down this weekend, it's pretty clear what happened in this video.
TMZ tried to reach out to his reps for a comment but they haven't received anything yet.
While his fans know him as A$AP Rocky, his real name is Rakim Mayers.
