We’ve been covering Dishonored for a while now and for good reason – it looks amazing. The first person stealth action game from Arkane Studios offers everything that I’ve ever wanted out of the genre. With new trailers hitting all the time, it’s getting harder to wait for the October release date.

Today’s trailer is a sequel of sorts to the last Dishonored trailer that showed how one can go about performing their contract kills. Players have an option of either being stealthy or outright chaotic in regards to their kills. The guards aren’t going to take an assassination lightly, so you’re going to have to escape. Thankfully, there are a multitude of options available to the player which are highlighted in the trailer below:

All three methods of escape involve using the magic at the player’s disposal. One can either use magic jumps to reach high places, bend time to make their escape or possess enemies to avoid detection. That’s just three of what must be countless ways to escape.

The team at Arkane Studios promises the next video will be about creative kills. If they’re anywhere as creative as the escape methods just shown, I think we’ll have a hit on our hands come October. Dishonored will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 12.

Sorry but this game looks completely RIDICULOUS.

Instead of making a solid stealth game, they have steroided the shit out of it with absolutely illogical powers that are close to idiotic. Long jump? Really? These powers don’t make sense. They are powers for the sense of being powers.

I’m not sure much thought went into this game. The developers should play the Thief games, scrap this junk and try again.

Perhaps you should know that much of the original Thief team is working on this game. Without their influence, it might not have even been a stealth game at all. Also, the point of the game is choice. You can make it as stealthy as you want. Limiting the game to only stealth, however, would limit their potential audience.
