  • Susan Sarandon is a grandma for the first time!

According to a rep for the actress, Eva Amurri, the daughter of Sarandon with Italian director Franco Amurri, and her husband, Kyle Martino, welcomed baby Marlow on Saturday.

“Actress Eva Amurri Martino gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Marlowe Mae Martino, weighing 6lbs 11oz, over the weekend,” the rep said in a statement. “Both she and her husband, NBC sports analyst, Kyle Martino, are thrilled and enjoying the new addition to their family.”

Sarandon and the proud parents all tweeted about the good news on Monday.

In February, the 29-year-old new mama announced on Twitter that she and her 33-year-old husband were expecting a baby together.

In March, Amurri announced the couple were expecting a baby girl on Whosay.

“Who run the world? GIRLS! #BabyGirlMartino,” she posted.

The proud new grandma has been looking forward to the arrival of her granddaughter for some time now. In March, she still had trouble wrapping her head around the idea that an actual baby was on its way.

“I think that even when I was having a baby myself and even after I had two babies myself, that you can’t even grasp the reality of it until that baby is there,” Sarandon told Us Weekly.

“So even though we’re very excited and the sonograms are beautiful and we’ve been shopping, it’s still — I don’t think you actually understand until there’s a human being there. So we’re still in that kind of state, but we’re very excited.”
