The Duggar family is known for their strict dating rules and many children. As the Duggars are watching their daughter Jessa grow into a young woman and begin dating, they are starting to realize they may want yet another baby in the house again. That would make 20 for couple, Michelle and Jim.
Michelle suffered a miscarriage in December 2011 that devastated the family. She says that the family is praying on another baby and are not sure if it is God's will or not. She said they were also praying on whether or not they should try to conceive again or adopt another child instead.
“I would be so grateful if the Lord blessed us with another one. We’re trying at this point and we shall see if that is a possibility. If not, we are so thankful and grateful for the ones that God has given us so far. We are also definitely enjoying our grandbabies! They are so precious!” Michelle said, adding,”We’re praying about if the Lord would want us to adopt.”
It seems like the Duggar's have made up their mind that a new baby will be joining their family one way or another. But having another child isn't the only thing on Michelle and Jim's minds. They have recently allowed their daughter Jessa to start dating.
Jessa is 20 years old and is the third daughter of Michelle and Jim Bob. She recently started dating 18 year old Ben Seewald after gaining her family's approval.
We are so excited for Ben and Jessa,” Jim Bob said. “They are enjoying getting to know each other and are recommending sermons to one another.”
The Duggars have strong beliefs that couples should not hug or kiss until they are married. Michelle and Jim Bob work hard to enforce their dating rules and morals, but they are sometimes able to let a few tings slide.
“Dad allowed them to do a side hug when they were officially courting,” the matriarch of the Duggar family, Michelle, said. “They agreed that would be the only contact they should have.”
At least Michelle and Jim Bob won't have to worry about Jessa and Ben working on a baby while they are working on one themselves.
