Nobody likes a scary bathroom surprise. One Texas woman got a big one when she found a 12-foot python in her bathroom. Veronica Rodriguez was investigating a strange noise in her home. When it led her to her bathroom, she flipped on the light switch to get the scare of a lifetime. There on her bathtub was a huge snake.
The African python had escaped from its home and found its way into Rodriguez’s. Rodriguez has just finished bathing her three guinea pigs in the same bathroom. She had left the door to her home open while she dried off the little critters and returned them outside to their pen. When she returned to her home she heard some strange noises and although she was a bit frightened, she decided to find out the source.
Rodriguez described her ordeal saying,
“I was on the phone with my mom and I kept hearing noises in the back,” she said. At first she ignored them but they continued and grew louder and she was afraid someone may have been inside her home.
After checking the rest of her home and even making sure her guinea pigs were safe, Rodriguez headed for the bathroom where she found the snake.
“It was a huge scare,” said Rodriguez. She called 911 and waited for the police to arrive and remove the snake. “When the officer showed up, he came with a brown paper sack,” she recalled. “I told him, ‘you’re going to need a bigger sack than that.'”
Even the police officer who arrived to remove the snake was a little intimidated by its size. “When I opened her bathroom door, there was a 12-foot python,” Gonzales recalled. “I didn’t know what I was going to do with a snake that large.”
He decided to use a large trashcan to capture the snake and remove it from the home.
The snake was later returned to its owner and luckily no one was injured during the encounter.
What would you do if you saw a giant snake in your bathroom?
